Meet the writer, Bethan Andrews

I’ve always believed that everyone has a story - sometimes we just need a little help finding the right words. That’s what I love most about what I do. I love listening, understanding, and then crafting something that feels true to you.

My background in journalism taught me how to capture people’s voices and tell stories with honesty and care, while poetry and creative writing taught me how to listen to what isn’t said. Life in Lines Studio brings those worlds together - the craft of storytelling, and the heart of life, of experience.

When I’m not crafting features or writing for clients, you’ll find me with a notebook in hand, chasing my toddler around, or collecting snippets of everyday life that might one day become a poem. I find inspiration in quiet moments, fleeting conversations, and the little details that make up a life.

Whether you’re here for a wedding poem, a keepsake gift, or words to honour someone you love, my hope is always the same - that what I write feels like you.

The story behind the studio

Life in Lines Studio was born from a love of words, and from the belief that poetry and creative writing can hold the moments that photographs and memory sometimes can’t.

What began as a personal practice - writing through grief, love, and the in-between - soon became something more. Friends and family have often asked for poems and speeches to mark their milestones and it helped me to realise how much joy, comfort, and connection a few lines can bring, and how powerful it was to help people see their own stories reflected back to them.

This studio is my way of sharing that feeling - of turning real lives and emotions into something lasting.

How it works

Every poem begins with a conversation. Once you get in touch, I’ll ask a few gentle questions about your story - the occasion, the person, and the feeling you’d like to capture. From there, I take your words and turn them into something you can hold onto: a poem that feels unmistakably you.

You’ll have the chance to review drafts, request changes, and make sure every line feels right. Once finished, your poem is printed, packaged, and delivered with care - ready to be framed, gifted, or kept close as a keepsake.

“Writing has always been a big part of my identity, and my job as a magazine journalist and travel writer has allowed me to grow, learn and continuously challenge my creativity. I’ve always written poetry and speeches for friends and family, and I love to see the warmth in the reaction when it’s finally read out loud. Words are so powerful - let me help you see your story written down.”
